Silverdale Sixth Form celebrates outstanding A level results

Silverdale Sixth Form is celebrating an exceptional set of A level and Level 3 results today with the Class of 2026 achieving a 99.5% pass rate across 29 different courses at Level 3 (99.7% for A levels only) and an incredible 36.5% of all Level 3 grades at A* to A (35.5% for A levels only).
These excellent outcomes reflect more than just academic success; they are a testament to the determination, resilience, and commitment Silverdale students have shown throughout their time at Silverdale. The breadth of Silverdale’s Sixth Form curriculum has enabled students to pursue a wide range of pathways that reflect their individual talents, interests, and aspirations.
Among the many success stories:
- 95% of students have secured university places with 60% progressing to Russell Group universities including the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge
- 9 students received all A*s
- 7 students have secured places to study Medicine and Dentistry.
- Students have secured prestigious higher and degree apprenticeships including one with a leading financial firm.
Students are now preparing for exciting futures at universities, apprenticeship providers and employers across the UK. This year's destinations include courses ranging from Software Engineering and Law to Zoology and English, demonstrating the breadth of aspirations and talents across the cohort.
Headteacher Jim Smith said:
“We are incredibly proud of every one of our students. Their A Level results are the culmination of years of hard work, determination and resilience, and today is a celebration of everything they have achieved. Behind every grade is a story of commitment, perseverance and personal growth.
These results open doors to exciting futures, whether that is university, apprenticeships, employment or other pathways, and we are delighted to see our young people taking their next steps with confidence. I would also like to thank our dedicated staff and the families who have supported our students throughout their journey.
On behalf of everyone at Silverdale, congratulations to our students. They should be immensely proud of what they have accomplished, and we wish them every success in the future.”
