    Lunch service

We offer a selection of traditional main meals, street food grab pots and daily Meal Deals available with a dessert. Grab 'n' Go items are also available as well as daily sandwiches, jackets with fillings, and lots of home baked cakes. Look out for our themed days.

A variety of cold drinks are available to buy with all services.

    Buying school lunches

We use a cashless catering payment system to enable students to pay for food in school.  This uses an automated biometric recognition system that takes measurements of students' fingerprints and converts these measurements into an encrypted template that is stored on the system.  Images of fingerprints are not stored. Written consent is needed from parents and carers for us to use student biometric information.  Further information, together with a consent form, is available to download at the bottom of this page.

    Taylor Shaw - our philosophy

Taylor Shaw believe a balanced nutritional diet is vital to the physical and mental performance of all our customers and we have both a social and moral responsibility to provide this to our students. We will work to exceed the government's guidelines, and also emphasise the importance of eating a healthy diet whilst providing fun food you will love.

    Free School Meals

Your child may be entitled to free school meals if your family receives any of the following:

    • Universal Credit
    • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
    • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
    • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
    • support as a family with no recourse to public funds (NRPF)

Applying is straightforward, confidential and saves you money every year.

How do Free School Meals work?

Your child’s lunch account is automatically and confidentially credited with enough money for their school meal each day.

During lunchtime there is no distinction made between those receiving free school meals and those who do not.

At the start of each school year, the local authority will check the eligibility of new applications for FSM and current pupils with FSM, after which all eligible students will be entitled to FSM for the full academic year.

    Pupil Premium

Did you know that if pupils receive Targeted Free School Meals, we’re automatically allocated Pupil Premium funding?

This grant allows us to make significant improvements to the education we can offer in school, especially for our disadvantaged students.
